Jane heads up a team of tutors who have a wide range of expertise. We have specialists covering many Key Stages and subjects up to A Level. We also run 11+ Mock Tests from April to September.
Our Tutors:
Jane – I head up iLearn Tuition and have been teaching for 23 years. I have taught across all Key Stages from Early Years to A Levels and now specialise in 11+ preparation alongside English and maths KS2/3. I have a BA (Hons) degree with QTS and have bases in Lower Preston and Compton/Marldon. I am available for daytime teaching as well as after school.
Lisa – I have 21 yrs teaching experience including mainstream and alternative provision. I cover 11+, all primary and KS3 subjects, KS4 English Child Development, Health & Social Care, philosophy and ethics (R.E) & Psychology GCSE & A level. Also SEND support and functional skills. Specialising in working with neurodivergent children. I have QTS and I am an accredited Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner. Recent training includes Thrive. QTS; PGCert; BSc(Hons) Psychology; Currently studying MSc in Forensic Psychology
Ruth – Hi, I’m Ruth, a primary teacher with over 40 years of experience. I love helping year 4, 5 or 6 children to develop confidence in their maths and English, as these crucial subjects help in so many other subjects as well. I am experienced in teaching those with SEND and those with English as a second language; I am Paignton/Goodrington based and can tutor at mine, or yours if local to me. My aim will be to support the whole family through our learning journey together.
Robyn – Hi! I’m Robyn, a primary specialist in Brixham. I cover the whole primary curriculum. Starting from phonics and basic numeracy in KS1 up to 11+ in KS2. I have a BA (Hons) degree in education and a PGCE with QTS. I have taught across Key Stage 1 and 2 for the last 8 years.
Chloe – Hi, I’m Chloe, an experienced tutor specialising in GCSE English, GCSE Maths, Secondary Maths, 11+ preparation, and SATs preparation. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education and will begin my Primary Teaching PGCE in September. With over 10 years’ experience working across both primary and secondary settings, I provide engaging, supportive, and personalised learning tailored to each student’s individual needs. I offer both home-based and mobile tutoring throughout the Torbay area, including Paignton, Brixham, Torquay, and occasionally Newton Abbot. Weekday evening sessions are available from 3:30pm onwards.
Sarah – Hi, I’m Sarah. I am currently a Social Science Lecturer at South Devon College who loves to tutor English Language and Foundation Maths GCSE. Prior to being a lecturer, I specialised in coaching learners to pass their English Language GCSE retakes. I developed my love for maths later in life and am passionate about making learning fun and accessible. I have experience in supporting learners with SEND needs and recognise the need for adaptive learning to make sure every learner reaches their full potential.
